Real projects, real results
Austrian electrical equipment manufacturer
Smart home energy enclosures
Challenge: An Austrian electrical appliance manufacturer was looking for a reliable manufacturing partner to produce 5.500 plastic enclosures per year for a premium smart home energy system developed for the European and American markets. The enclosures house battery packs, solar inverter units and smart home control devices. The multi-material project required precise manufacturing, stable quality and a technology solution suitable for series production.
Solution: Szatunaplex supported the project with technology and manufacturability optimization proposals that helped reduce production costs and shorten lead times.
Result: The first prototypes were completed successfully, and the project moved into a phase prepared for series production.
Swiss machinery manufacturer
Contract manufacturing of packaging machine parts
Challenge: A recurring need for small-series plastic parts where dimensional accuracy and lead time are critical.
Solution: We introduced a regular contract manufacturing process to ISO 9001, with a dedicated contact person and an agreed schedule.
Result: A stable supplier relationship for several years, with predictable quality and turnaround.
Our OEM machine-builder partner
Oversized, UV-printed ABS machine enclosures
Challenge: Our OEM machine-builder partner needed large - up to 1500 × 780 mm - ABS machine enclosures with UV-printed graphics for durability and branding. The challenge was manufacturing the oversized parts with high precision and speed, as well as safe overseas shipping.
Solution: We deployed our CNC and laser machines with a 6 m² capacity to efficiently cut, mill, drill and finish the panels, continuously ensuring surface protection during material handling, along with robust packaging for shipping.
Result: Our partner received durable, precision-machined enclosures with premium print quality, which we manufactured cost-effectively and delivered worldwide without damage.

Bent acrylic protective barrier - retail counter
Challenge: We received an urgent request for the redesign of a retail customer counter that needed transparent, bent acrylic protective barriers. Not only speed mattered, but also that the finished elements be optically clear, fit precisely and integrate aesthetically into the existing counter design.
Solution: The challenge lay in the thermoforming: the acrylic elements had to follow the shape of the counter without any distracting refraction or distortion appearing. For a visible retail element like this, precision and appearance are just as important as function.
Result: Within 3 days of the survey and manufacturing, we produced the bent acrylic elements. The end result was a clean, transparent and refined protective barrier that fits the retail space's branding and the shape of the counter.
ÉMÁSZ grid operator
Stork-guard nesting deterrent on the power grid
Challenge: The white stork instinctively seeks high, stable points for nesting, which makes utility poles risky locations: nesting material, moisture and the proximity of live parts can cause short circuits, sparking and, in extreme cases, fire and outages. The goal was to prevent nest building on risky pole sections while not displacing the storks, but guiding them toward the installed, safe nesting platforms.
Solution: We developed and manufactured the stork-guard nesting deterrent device, which physically makes it impossible to start a nest at the critical points. It is made from PVC sheets: cut to precise dimensions with CNC milling, formed to the required geometry by edge bending, then packaged ready for installation. The construction is designed for outdoor operation - it withstands wind, precipitation and freeze-thaw cycles - and is made from V0 (self-extinguishing), fire-safe base material.
Result: During installations, the solution reliably ruled out the dangerous nesting points, reducing the risk of short circuits and fire, while in practice the storks are guided toward the safe, installed nesting platforms.

Display enclosures for a smart locker system
Challenge: The enclosure had to fit the display precisely, be mounted securely and provide a premium appearance at the same time. Since this is recurring production, process repeatability and consistent quality were key considerations.
Solution: We manufactured display enclosures for smart locker systems. The product was not a simple flat plastic part: it required CNC milling, metal insert installation, bonding, assembly and high-quality printing.
Result: This project clearly shows how we can turn plastic parts into a complete, ready-to-install industrial product.
What our clients said
“First-class thermoforming and lightning-fast execution, with no refraction. Thank you for your work!”
- Péter Leszkovszki, Managing Director – CAD Wood
“With custom machines, whether an enclosure is genuinely usable often comes down to tiny details. Szatunaplex quickly understood our needs, and we received ESD enclosures that actually work in practice.”
- József Cseh, Managing Director – Celpex
“With special-purpose machines, it's important that a part isn't just made, but also works well on the machine. Szatunaplex responds quickly, manufactures precisely, and delivers solutions you can rely on even in an industrial environment.”
- Barnabás Fejes, Managing Director – Indasys Kft.
“Honestly, the name Szatunaplex rarely comes up in our weekly meetings. But that's a good sign. It means there are no problems with them: they deliver, they keep to deadlines, and the quality is stable too. When they do come up, it's usually as a positive example.”
- Global Procurement Director – Swiss machinery manufacturing company
“We came to Szatunaplex through a recommendation. Our first project was a development for an American partner of ours, and we soon felt that they don't just want to produce what we ask for. They thought alongside us, made suggestions, and with those we managed to reduce the product's cost even before series production. That's a rare and valuable attitude.”
- J. Hildegard, Head of Procurement – Austrian electronics company
